What's your availability?Our availability is always changing, contact us for more info!

What is included in my rent?Your bed, utilities, wifi (educational, professional and behavioral health pursuits), move-in ready furniture, Netflix, 3 meals, and new friends :)

Can I bring my pet?We accept service animals (cats and dogs) on a case-by-case basis.

Do I have to be sober?While we encourage sobriety and abstinence, you do not have to be sober. We do not allow drugs or alcohol on the premises. Drugs or alcohol on or within 200 feet of the property is viewed as voluntary forfeit of the bed. We believe in harm reduction as a housing first principle. See the principles of harm reduction here.

Why are there no addresses for your houses on the website?For the security of our participants living in our spaces, we do not reveal the exact address of the spaces until you receive an offer. All of our facilties are close to public transportation.

Do you allow tours?We conduct a phone assessment of all potential clients, and due to the nature of recuperative care we do not provide tours.

How long can I stay?The maximum stay at Rooted Life Recuperative Care is 90 days from the date of move-in with eligibility determined each month. Rooted Life does not provide extensions past 90 days.

Can I receive mail at the house?You can temporarily receive mail at the facility. Rooted Life is a not a residential home but a recuperative care facility. It is the responsibility of the client to submit changes of address. Rooted Life does not hold mail or packages upon client discharge. Mail and packages will be discarded 3 days after discharge.

What does it cost?Recuperative Care is funded by Medi-cal Transformation through your managed Medi-cal plan for up to 90 days. This is not a guarantee of eligibility. Please contact us or your health plan for more details.
